I recently attended a party, where the converstaion turned to politics. I asked the woman beside me if she had seen "Nightline's" " The Jesus Factor"; to which she replied: "I'm a Republican. I don't watch P.B.S.; they have such a distorted agenda". This would have been hysterical, if she hadn't been TOTALLY SERIOUS!! I was so flaberghasted, that I was speechless. In one of those cases of "What I SHOULD HAVE SAID"; I came up with...... "Yeah, that Mr. Rogers has GOT to be some kind of anarchist, and I heard that BIG BIRD is communist!!!And Ken Burns...isn't he gay????" Isn't it time that we require a minimum "intelligence-level" to be able to vote???? It's scary that anyone with such a narrow, un-informed perspective has the same voting-rights as you & I!!!......... Rumors are now circulating that the Republican party is planning to eliminate P.B.S. ALTOGETHER!!! STOP THE INSANITY!!!!..........Dave

Anybody out there catch the Rupert Murdoch Puppet Show, (FOX News), tonight??? They were the ONLY network to feature a "spokesperson" from the CARLYLE GROUP... (Prominently "exposed" in FARENHEIT 9-11) This "mouthpiece" proported that DUBYUH WAS NOT influenced in any way by his father's , and Saudi Prince Bandur's close business associations in the Carlyle Group. (Who, COINCIDENTALLY, made BILLIONS AS A RESULT OF THE INVASION OF IRAQ!!) They were the ones who "declared" George Bush the winner of the Florida Presidential election, LONG before any other network. The Republican camp is "grasping at straws", trying to discredit Michael Moore's movie. The Fox News Bureau has shown itself to have the least credibility of any show on television. See the movie: "Control Room"; and you will find that Al Jazeera has less bias than FOX. ....Farenheit 9-11 is THE HIGHEST "GROSSING" DOCUMENTARY OF ALL TIME, AND HAS WON THE "PALM D'ORE" (GOLDEN PALM) AWARD AT THE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL! I have personally witnessed an audience of this film "IN TEARS", outraged at the conduct of our corrupt "president". They have given "standing-ovations" to the film, throughout the nation. The facts revealed in Moore's film are "public-record", and open to ANY SCRUTINY; yet many Americans remain "clueless" and un-informed. I encourage EVERYONE to see this film, and convince others to see it as well. In my previous "blog", I said that this film is MORE important than "The Passion"; This is true because Christ was crucified, and there's nothing you or I can do about it. However, the travesties of our corrupt President are something that WE CAN CHANGE!!!!! Watch ANYTHING BUT FOX, Listen to N.P.R.'s "Democracy Now", Watch the B.B.C. I saw FARENHEIT 9-11 today. I am starting a grass-roots movement to nominate Michael Moore for the Nobel Peace Prize. This is probably the most important film in the history of cinema. There is NOTHING in terms of "distortions, manipulations, un-truths, or out-of-context statements; as the Republicans would argue. It is a truly powerful documentary which is in SUPPORT of our troops. I was truly "moved" by the sight of people waiting in line for the next feature. On a Monday afternoon, "sold-out" crowds waited for more than an hour to see it. Families with their children, college students, old "hippies", retired couples, people of ALL genders, races and ages sat patiently in the theatre to see this momentous expose'. I personally was torn between "outrage", "anger", "disgust", "sadness", and "nausea". The sold-out audience cheered & applauded during the film and at it's conclusion. I wish that I had a "spare" $1,000,000..... I would buy a block of tickets and give them away to every registerd Republican in America. This film is MORE IMPORTANT THAN "THE PASSION" BY MEL GIBSON. I encourage everyone, and anyone to see it; and to take someone. Perhaps we can convince someone like Bill Gates or Dean Kamen (rich guys) to buy those tickets, much like the Christian leaders bought tickets to "The Passion"......................By the way, think about this scenario: A Republican administration wants to "fan-the flames" of fear, in order to increase public-support of a ficticious "War on Terror". So they establish a "threat-level", and from time to time, RAISE the level because of "credible-sources". (Never mind that they are usually ficticious, imaginary, or unreliable) Next, use your "Black-Ops" friends in the C.I.A. to mail anthrax to a leading Democratic Congressman. (Tom Daschle) (Never mind a few dead postal-workers.... theyr'e "collateral-damage") For the price of a few grams of anthrax, you can get Billions of dollars worth of media-attention for your war-on-terror; and by "scaring-the-hell" out of a leading Democrat, you can gain his support in Congress!!! Aren't most strains of anthrax FOUND IN GOVERNMENT LABS , ANYWAY??? Surely Bush has a few "covert" operatives "in-his-pocket", that would execute such a scheme. If my "blogs" suddenly cease, and my body is found in a car-trunk somewhere, you'll know this to be true; and that the "spooks" have read this............... Dave

C.B.S. television's "60 Minutes" today featured a expose' on the dismal failure of the "Patriot Missle System". Ed Bradley reported that the system FAILED IN MORE THAN 90 % OF IT'S LAUNCHES! In the first GULF_WAR, George Bush Senior was praising the Patriot-system, as having succeeded in "41 out of 42" launches; it ACTUALLY shot-down only FOUR targets , out of 42 launches!!! Even worse, it often targeted "friendly" aircraft; as well as non-existant, imaginary ones. This system, made by ROCKWELL, is fraught with "glitches", which sometimes kill OUR OWN TROOPS!!! Don't forget, this technology was designed to intercept "SCUD" missles, NOT I.C.B.Ms. We NOW have the Pentagon spending 53 BILLION dollars, (in the next 5 years), to deploy a "Space-Based-Strategic-Defense-Shield"..... an idea based on 21 year-old technology, and dreamed-up by our "actor-President" Ronald Reagan. ALL reputable scientific authorities concur, that the "Space-based" system CANNOT WORK, IS TOO EASILY FOOLED, AND IS NOT NECESSARY!! We are FAR more vulnerable to terrorist-attacks, than I.C.B.M.s; yet our harbors and borders remain largely un-guarded. One cargo-container full of nerve-gas or other biological-agents can be easily shipped into San Francisco, Seattle, or New York; detonated with a simple cell-phone-call, and kill MILLIONS OF PEOPLE! This, while the Bush budget CUTS FUNDING TO Homeland Security!!! Somewhere in Texas, a village is missing it's "idiot"!!!! I also heard today about a "site" that estimates the number of civilian-casualties in Iraq...... something like "bodycount.org"??? They have calculated the number of Iraqi deaths, since our invasion, at SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 9,000 AND 11,000!!!! How come Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh have FAILED to mention these??? George Bush's flagrant colonialism has KILLED MORE PEOPLE THAN THE ATTACKS ON THE WORLD TRADE CENTER!!! I guess that's why Bush refused to join the WORLD COURT....HE WOULD BE ON TRIAL!!!! Today on FOX t.v. Walter Cronkite was interviewed about his opinions of the Iraq war. Having spent years in Viet Nam, and witnessing that futile, ill-advised war; he has PLENTY of insight & wisdom . He stated, eloquently and insightfully, that the invasion of Iraq was not-only ill-conceived; but poorly planned and "thought-out" as well. He expressed the view that America had NO BUSINESS INVADING IRAQ!! It has recently occured to me, that Florida claims to be "The Sunshine State". However, the state of New Mexico receives MORE sunshine per-square-foot; exceeded only by Arizona. It seems that The State of Florida is AGAIN engaged in deception. Similarly, George W. Bush, this week appointed a new head of the F.B.I.; ALSO FROM FLORIDA. The "OLD-BUDDY" system is alive and well in Jeb Bush's state. While I was writing this, I happened to hear a Bush-T.V. spot. He claims that Kerry "voted against" weapons-systems that our troops need to "fight the war on terror". A typical distortion, Kerry ACTUALLY voted against the ENTIRE funding-package of the illegal invasion of Iraq. Bush has "spun" Kerry's opposition to the war into a vague attack of Kerry's support for our troops; When NOTHING could be further from the truth!! WHERE ARE BUSH'S MEDALS??? WHERE ARE HIS "SERVICE-RECORDS"??? WHY AREN'T HIS DAUGHTERS ENLISTED IN THE NATIONAL GUARD???? In another development, Cheney's hunting-buddy (Anton Scalia) voted against the disclosure of secret energy-policy-meeting details. (What a surprise!!!......NOT!!!!!) The Republican-controlled Supreme Court has managed to delay the examination of those secret meetings, which involved Enron's Ken Lay and resulted in "rolling-blackouts" on the west coast. When Hillary Clinton was asked to divulge similar details of her meetings regarding Health-Care providers, she gladly complied. The Bush administration claims that such meetings should remain "confidential" to avoid undermining their ability to obtain advice. Since we have a "Freedom of Information Act", and a guaranteed right to scrutinize our public-officials; why should they be allowed to hold secret meetings with well-connected corporate-insiders??? Such corruption is OUTRAGEOUS!!! Enron's ownership of west-coast energy production & distribution resulted in the financial-ruin of California's economy, and the subsequent ousting of Governor Gray Davis..... and the installation of REPUBLICAN ARNOLD SCHWARTZENEGGER !!!!!COINCIDENCE??? I THINK NOT!! John Kerry's campaign-stop in New Mexico, (a "swing-State"), was conveniently derailed by the Senate's call for a vote on an important bill. The bill was then post-poned, (again by Republicans), to disrupt his next trip to "fund-raise" in California. The "Dirty-tricks" know no limits!!!! They have also attempted to block the advertising for Michael Moore's movie, FARENHEIT 9-11, claiming that they feature images of Bush, and are therefore "campaign-advertising", and subject to campaign-finance laws. They failed in their attempt to pressure Disney/Miramax to stop distribution of the film... (Disney receives massive tax-benefits for their Disney World-Epcot Center business in Jeb Bush's State of Florida) They are NOW attempting to stop an independantly filmed, written, produced, and financed movie by claiming that it is a "campaign-ad". The Democratic Party, and John Kerry HAVE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PRODUCTION OF THIS MOVIE!!!! The Republican Party apparently hopes to convince their "puppet Supreme Court" to bend-the-rule-of-law AGAIN!!!! DAVE

A few days ago, I was watching FOX T.V. news. (You know, that network owned by major-Republican-donor-Rupert Murdoch) One of the "stories" featured the Republican Attorney-General of Masssachusetts. She was demanding that John Kerry resign from the U.S. Senate, as he spent too much time campaigning and fund-raising; NOT on Senate business. Another example of "the-pot-calling-the-kettle- black". It is unfortunate that she neglected the service-record of DICK CHENEY, who has a record of 67% of his travel & public appearances SOLEY for the purpose of "Fund-raising". (The other 33% of his tenure has been spent hiding in "un-disclosed locations") Doesn't Cheney have WORK TO DO??? If you or I "took-off" more than 2/3 of the time we were at work, we would be fired within a week. We must assure that Dick Cheney is "un-employed" this November. NONE of the other networks featured this interview.... I encourage everyone to see a small, indepedant film called "Control Room". It is a documentary that reveals the true nature of the Arab-T.V. network AL-JAZEERA. American networks have historically portrayed the Al-Jazeera network as a propaganda-tool of radical Muslims. In reality, they are FAR more un-biased and objective in their journalism, than most "Western" media. They do not "fan-the-flames"of war based on vague, patriotic-nationalism. They DO report the human tragedy & cost of such a war. Things that we know as: "collateral-damage", they report as the killing of human-beings. Recent rumours have surfaced that suggest a Republican-controlled Washington will try to "eliminate" N.P.R. (National Public Radio) and P.B.S. (the Public Broadcast System). "Knowledge is power", and the control of American Media is key to manitaining the "BIG LIE". Adolph Hitler practiced such control of German media in order to promote his twisted lies. A populace that knows nothing but "30-second T.V. spin", and little of the facts is easily deceived and controlled. THE MOST PATRIOTIC THING THAT ANYONE CAN DO, IS TO QUESTION THE ACTIONS AND MOTIVES OF OUR GOVERNMENT-LEADERS. "DISSENT" IS PATRIOTIC!! George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Abraham Lincoln WERE ALL "LIBERALS" !!! The "Conservative-Right" is "fundamentally opposed" to free-speech (unless it's theirs), and enlightened discourse.(see Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity)...IF YOU'RE NOT OUTRAGED, YOU'RE NOT PAYING-ATTENTION !!!!!!! Yesterday C.B.S. news reported that a group of 40 ? former-ambassadors drafted a statement declaring the foreign-policy of the Bush Administration to be "dangerous" & "threatening the security" of the United States. This story was largely over-looked by all other media sources. Will the future ignite interest in this outcry?? Or will these enlightened experts on foreign-policy be silenced by Bush's corporate-connections????......Time will tell. One would think that a Texan would be familiar with the old expression : "opening a can of worms", yet "Dubyah-dumbshit" continues to "stay-the-course". A wise man admits mistakes, and learns from them; an idiot "stays-the-course". One of the Generals who participated in the initial invasion of Iraq stated on T.V. that the policy of "staying the course" was "headed over Niagra Falls". The single-minded lack of "vision" and insight into foreign-policy is nothing less than outrageous. Never have I seen Americans so "divided" and outraged over the lack-of-leadership in our nation. I am daily approached by total-strangers who voice supportive and insightful agreement of the "bumper-stickers" that adorn my car. .... They read: "The Dixie Chicks were Right!!"; "Dick Cheney, before he dicks you"; " We don't have a Democracy, we have an Auction"; "The most Patriotic thing you can do is Question the Motives & actions of your Leaders"; "American soldiers are dying in their Hummers, so you can play-soldier in yours"; "Dick Cheney... Putting the "vice" in the Presidency for nearly 4 Years"; ans "A.B.B." ... (Anybody But Bush). I will soon add: "If Religion is Protected from Government, shouldn't Government Be Protected from Religion???" P.S. over the weekend, I happened to be standing in a line of people, next-to a young man who was loudly advertising to some ladies that "he worked for the Republican Party". I held my temper for some time, but after several minutes of his pompous attempts to impress the young ladies, I could not contain myself. I asked him why he "worked for the organization that chartered the planes for the Lin Laden Family's escape to Saudi Arabia?". The conversation soon escalated, and he "beat a hasty retreat", as he was as obviously un-informed & ignorant of the transgressions of his employer. I saw him later, and gave him a list of "required-reading", numerous books that detail the corruption & incompetance of the Bush Administration. George Tenant; last week became a "scape-goat" for Bush's blunders. Although ALL major "intelligence-agencies" remained HIGHLY sceptical of the "existence of Weapons of Mass Destruction", and the ficticious shipment of uranium to Iraq, Tenant "took-the fall" for his "commander-in-ignorance". We have already seen Generals, Cabinet Members, Advisors, and Staff Members FLEEING the White House, like "rats from a sinking ship"; the public-opinion of "Dubyuh" is still strangely strong. American seem to base their "approval-rating" on 30-second T.V. spots that "spin" and twist the facts; all in the name of some vague "War-On-Terror". Bush has created more dissent in the Middle East in the last year, than in the last 30 years of American "Petro-colonialism". Few Americans know that General Norman Schwartzkopf was a close advisor to the Shah of Iran; a man who was "installed" as ruler of Iran by a covert C.I.A. operation....deposing the duly-elected, LEGITIMATE ruler!! Study the history of American foreign-policy in the Middle East; and you will soon understand why so-many Muslims HATE America. Yet a National Geographic Society survey found that, as recent as Jan. 2003, ONLY 13% OF AMERICANS COULD LOCATE IRAQ ON A WORLD-MAP!!!!! The truth will set you free........... Dave

I ocassionally listen to him, and Rush Limbaugh ONLY in order to find out what-else they can blame on "those Liberals". How unusual that they have forgotten that George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin and Tom Paine WERE ALL "LIBERALS"!!!!! Hannity & Rush remind me of the policies of Adolph Hitler, who lied SO LOUD & OFTEN that the lies were perceived as "truth"!! The "hannityisamoron" site contains some interesting outbursts from his "supporters". These quotes seem typical of the un-questioning Republicans who blindly follow ANYTHING THAT THE "UN-ELECTED" DESPOTS SAY, WHITHOUT INVESTIGATING THE FACTS! How often I have heard : "We have to support Bush, after-all He IS our President!"..... or something like it. Bush has lied SO often, that it is impossible to believe ANYTHING HE SAYS!.... let alone the twisted, "out-of-context" T.V. spots that he runs against Kerry. The Republican Party is "counting-on" the short-attention-spans, lack of information, & stupidity of American-voters to re-elect Bush. If that doesn't work, they can always "steal" the election, like last time. Why was Katherine Harris (Florida Attorney-General) allowed to decide issues regarding the election; when she worked for the Bush-re-election-comittee?? Why is SHE not in jail for conflict-of-interest?? Why were more than 50,000 mostly-black & Hispanic voters ilegally purged from the Florida voter-polls? Why isn't Jeb Bush In jail ?????? Why was George Bush allowed to sell his stock in Harken Energy, (at a profit),......when he was a "Financial-officer" on the Board of Directors of Harken? % Months later Harken Energy DECLARED BANKRUPTCY!!!!!
