Had a chance to recently view the New Mexico State "advisories for Mercury-contamination" of fish in New Mexico's waters. This site reveals SIGNIFICANT levels of mercury, ( and probably other "heavy-metals") , in virtually ALL of the State's lakes and rivers!! It is NO co-incidence, that these watersheds are "down-wind" from the "Four Corners" coal-fired powerplant, and a similar powerplant in Arizona..... BOTH of which are exempt from current air-quality standards.... the result of a "Grandfather" clause in E.P.A. rules. It is , similarly, no coincidence that the Dept. of the Interior Secretary (Gayle Norton) is an ex-"oil-industry" executive.; and no coincidence that the P.N.M. Lobbyist in the State Legislature (one Art Hull) , is a "die-hard" Republican and out-spoken supporter of the Bush administration. These people have NO concern for the toxic pollution being spewed forth from these "dirty" powerplants. Such polluters now inhabit the office of the "Secretary Of State" of the United States. Condaleeza Rice has, historically, shared a more-than-cozy relationship with the despoilers of our planet. She formerly worked-for Exxon; and even has an oil-tanker named for her. The "Neo-Con" agendas care NOTHING for long-term affectation of the planet, as long as it makes them money!!! Even "wild" animals know better than to "crap in their own home!!" (Remember the Exxon-Valdez????".... oil-pollution is STILL detectable in the affected area.) The San Juan, Rio Grande, the Rio Chama and Pecos rivers have some of the BEST fly-fishing areas in the world; yet it's un-safe to eat the fish. If you're not outraged, YOU ARE NOT PAYING ATTENTION!! Iraq's elections are less than 36 hours away.. I PRAY that these will bring peace. I PRAY that Bush's-claims of "bringing-democracy" will succeed. Bush MUST get SOMETHING right; the "law-of-averages" is in his favor; as he has gotten so-much, so-wrong, for so-long!! The A.F.L.C.I.O. has recently begun airing a radio-spot denouncing Bush's plans to "privatize" parts of Social-Security. In it, they raise an interesting idea... Imagine a future, when Social-Security-pensioners cannot survive on their meager, monthly checks.. They then become an ENORMOUS, DESPERATE, labor-force; willing to take nearly ANY jobs, at ANY wage. They will then be forced to take "minimum-wage" jobs.... such as those as "Greeters at Wal Mart"!!! Besides enriching Bush's-campaign-contributors, such "privatization" will force millions of skilled workers into minimum-wage "service jobs!! We MUST tell our legislators to STOP this corrupt scheme!!! Call or write your Congressman NOW!!!! ..........Dave

Today is now "The deadliest day in Iraq" since Bush's ill-fated war began. Thirty-six American troops died today, in two separate incidents. Dubyuh was soon on T.V. , spewing the same-old rhetoric about "spreading freedom"..... The only things that he's "spreading", are BULLSHIT, AND DEAD BODIES!!! "Insurgent" fighters attacked polling-places , many of which were located in schools, instilling fear in the voters and also depriving them of a place to vote. Yesterday, P.B.S. "FRONTLINE" aird a show called: "Al Queda's New Front". It detailed how the invasion of Iraq has created FAR more radical Islamic Jihadists than it has defeated. A C.I.A. expert on terrorism stated that the invasion of Iraq had "played-into" the agendas and plots of Osama Bin Ladin; bin Ladin now has PROOF that America will invade a Muslim-nation to control it's oil; invade a Muslim nation if it is a threat to Israel, or invade a Muslim nation "with Christianity" as an excuse. Bin Ladin is now more sucessful than ever, at recruiting, funding, and training suicidal terrorists. The worst part is, these Jihadists are now operating in Europe and the Far-East, where they can travel and do-business un-impeeded. An increased "bounty" on Bin Ladin is totally useless.; as these people are religious-fanatics, determined to die "for Allah". Bush's tactics are not only "short-sighted", but downright STUPID. His attempts at "dealing-with" Bin Ladin are like a chess-game....EXCEPT BUSH IS STILL PLAYING CHECKERS!!! The Bush White House today announced that the war in Iraq will need AT LEAST another 80 BILLION DOLLARS!!! Factoring -in current expenditures, that will EASILY exceed 100 BILLION.;C.N.N calculates the cost (to-date) of OVER 448 BILLION DOLLARS!!! Just where will Bush GET this money??? From You, From me, From your children, from my children, from your grandchildren, from my grandchildren!!! Did anyone ask you if you wanted to spend your money, and incur MASSIVE future debt; in this quagmire we call Iraq??? Add to that total, the "future-earning-potential" of those loyal troops killed in Iraq.... ANOTHER 2.2 BILLION DOLLARS!!!(at least). ..... "Dubyuh-Dumbshit" also is now planning to Bankrupt the most-sucessful Social-Security system in modern history. A British plan, which "privatized" parts of their Social-Security system, was a massive failure. Such "privatized" plans are based on a naive belief that investments-funds will increase in value INFINITELY!!.. such is simply NOT THE CASE!! These "private" investments also showed management-costs of nearly 30%.... (It is not cheap to manage millions of individual, diverse funds). Compare that to the minisule cost of managing the Social-Security Fund; which is backed by the SAFEST funds in the world: (U.S. Treasury Bonds). Bush seems to want his Wall-Street buddies to have new access to OUR money; with NO regard for the future consquences!! This is simply another edition of "Reaganomics- Phase Three"..... Or "Voodoo-Economics" Bush's idea is largely reminiscent of "Trickle-Down-Economics"; (You remember, the "Trickle-Down" was the sound of all of us getting "Pissed-On"!!!!) Most economic experts have agreed that Bush's "scare-tactics" about Social-Security are simply NOT TRUE!! "Dub" and his "Good-old-Boys" are now trying to confirm Condaleeza Rice as Secretary Of State: The same INCOMPETANT ass-kisser that ignored C.I.A. memos about Al Queda, and justified an ILLEGAL war which has now cost us 200 BILLION DOLLARS, AND MORE THAN 1500 AMERICAN LIVES!!! Is this the "Fiscal-Responsibility" that was so-loudly promoted by Bush during his first campaign???? Is this the "Smaller-government" which he ALSO promoted?? How about reforming our income-tax-code?? We have over 7000 pages of "Tax-Code"; which NO-ONE can understand!!! Not even employees of the I.R.S.!! If you get tax-advice from the I.R.S. which proves to be incorrect, (as it often is), YOU ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR TAXES & PENALTIES!! The current tax-code is a "shell-game" designed to benefit those rich, corporate entites which can use their lawyers and their "loopholes" to best avoid paying ANY TAXES!! If you research many Multi-national corporations, you will find that they often pay NO income taxes on BILLIONS of dollars worth of income. (Such are the benefits of lobbyists, lawyers, loopholes, and tax-shelters). They pay NO taxes, we pay more taxes, and Bush continues to spend us into bankruptcy!! Now Bush wants us to gamble our retirement funds by investing in these same corporations which "outsource" our jobs to China, and pay NO taxes!! Has anyone heard anything about the "Strategic-Defense-Initiative"??? That "bottomless-pit" of Military-Industrial spending which will cost 50 Billion Dollars in the next 5 years, and DOESN'T WORK????.. I gues that Lockheed, Martin-Marietta, Boeing, Halliburton , etc, aren't making enough money in Iraq.... They still need that useless hoax which we used to call "Star-Wars".... allegedly to protect us from missles from China... Odd, but I thought that we were China's #1 customer??? (WalMart now imports 80% of all of it's goods FROM CHINA!!!; WalMart continues to drive American manufacturers and retailers out-of-business) Do you think that China would actually attack it's best customer??? Anybody actually LISTEN to Bush's "innaugural" speach?? He made no less than 28 references to "Freedom".... With slow, deliberate, well-rehearsed language;, he made vague statements about America's promoting, encouraging, and instilling "democracy" and "freedom". NO mention of his non-existant domestic-agenda; NO mention of Iraq ; NO mention of his attempt to divert Social-Security to his "Wall-Street" buddies; NO mention of any "exit-strategy" in our deadly Middle-Eastern-quagmire. .... only well-polished "generalities". The type of narrative that leaves one feeling like he said SOMETHING, but we're not exactually sure WHAT!! In fact, it has been three days, and the "spin-doctors" are STILL explaning "What he ACTUALLY said", and "What he ACTUALLY meant". Today, George Bush Senior made a public-statement, explaining "Dubyuh's" speech... I guess he STILL needs his "daddy" to get him out of trouble! TWENTY-EIGHT references to "Freedom".. Does he think that we're all STUPID, and require such repetition?? I suspect that this is just a case of "ONE-TRICK-PONY"; or as Randy Newman sang: "Big Hat, No Cattle". Quite frankly, his speeches remind me of someone condescendingly speaking to a small-child; or someone who is retarded. The scary thing is that he ACTUALLY thinks that he is making a "Legacy", uttering profound rhetoric in the tradition of past presidents.... More like the movie "Dumb & Dumber", than any presidential- speech . It has been reported that Bush made TWENTY-ONE drafts of that speech!!!! This president is TRULY an MORON!!!.................. Tonight are the "pre-inaugural" celebrations... Scheduled to appear at one of the "balls" are the Gatlin Bros. Cancelled from appearing is "Kid Rock".... apparently one of his songs made reference to "pimpin'" Barbara Bush (Senior); which offended the "Moral Majority". Larry Gatlin, however, is O.K.; it seems that a Texan "coke-head" is not offensive.....(Oops;.... "Texan "coke-head"???? That IS the President!!!!) The "Moral-majority" had no problem with a Senator from Illinois, who took his wife to "sex-clubs".... UNTIL HE GOT CAUGHT!!!! They had no problem with Senator Strom Thurman; who ran on a "segregationist" platform, but had a black mistress and an illegitimate son!!! They have no problem with Bill O'Reilley making "phone-sex" calls to one of his employees; UNTIL HE GOT CAUGHT!!! They have no problem with "Neo-Con" pundit Rush Limbaugh popping Oxycontin like PEZ.... UNTIL HE GOT CAUGHT!!! The Halliburton-fraud-scandal will soon bite Cheney on the ass, the Iraq war was based on blatant LIES, and now Bush wants us all to "invest" (lose) our Social Security to his friends in Wall Street investment firms!! "Hypocrisy In Action".... Yesterday's "Senate-Confirmation Hearings" for Condaleeza Rice were largely her attempts at avoidance, to poignant questions directed by Barbara Boxer and John Kerry. She managed to "dodge-the-bullet" by her refernces to "the big picture"..... diverting attention from her incompetance & lies. A true "Politician"..... No substance, only vague "generalities". She was not able to justify her lack of attention to 41 C.I.A. memos and requests for meetings by Richard Clarke.. which probably could have prevented the "9-11" attacks. She has , apparently, reached her "glass-ceiling" the point above-which she cannot rise. Since her "confirmation" is guaranteed by the Republican-controlled Senate, we can only hope that she will do little-damage as Secretary of State.... In an ironic development; one of the Bush "twins" was supposed to be teaching at a charter-school in the Washington D.C. area. When the school was contacted, it was discovered that SHE WAS NOT EMPLOYED THERE... as a result of the "No-Child-Left-Behind" initiative, she IS NOT QUALIFIED!!! Maybe if she needs a job, she can enlist in the National Guard!!!!.........Dave

Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day; The day we honor a man who reminds us that "one man CAN make a difference"! N.B.C. news today reported that the pending "election" in Iraq will have an INCREDIBLE number of polling-places for Iraqi citizens to vote. Incredible, because there are ONLY SIX!!! AND THESE ARE REMAINING "SECRET", TO KEEP THEM FROM BEING ATTACKED!! Since the Republicans in Washington D.C. have orchestrated this farce, we can be sure that there will be massively-inadequate facilities; computer errors, threats, multi-hour waits, and total chaos. (Much like the elections in America!!) I have, since the Nov. American election, been seized with a vague sense of fear; fear of a president who is TOTALLY incompetent, to the point of being dangerous. I cannot help but feel that EVEN I WOULD BE A BETTER PRESIDENT THAN BUSH!!! And I know NOTHING about running a nation!! (Hell, almost ANYONE, would be a better president than Bush) The Albuquerque Weekly Alibi newspaper, this week, documented MASSIVE IRREGULARITIES in New Mexico's voting this past November; irregularities which have gone COMPLETELY unnoticed by other "media", and the rest of the nation. (voting districts where NO absentee ballots voted for either presidential candidate, districts where no presidential- candidates were chosen in numbers TWENTY-TIMES greater than any other election, etc.) No discussions of these highly-suspicious results have been investigated, or discussed by the D.N.C. , The "mainstream" media, the international press, or anyone else!! Yesterday's T.V. news featured another casualty in Bush's war... A marine who had been "re-called" to serve in Iraq; rather than go back, he chose "suicide-by-cop"; ending his life in a SWAT standoff, rather than return to the "killing-fields" of Iraq. This story aired on only ONE major network; A 15-second "mention", of a life-cut-short. Meanwhile, the suicide-rates of American troops continues to skyrocket. The un-imaginable trauma of seeing fellow soldiers killed, the horror of killing innocent civilians, and NO CLEAR "MISSION" is taking a huge toll on American Men & women. Thankfully, the Pentagon has initiated programs to treat "P.T.S.D.".... (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)... however, these casualties-of-war are too-often "invisible", and forgotten by the people who support the Bush administration. These brave Americans are dying, indirectly, from the illegal-war which has NO clear objective, and was justified with blatant lies. No "Heroes" funerals, No "honor Guards", No "Veteran's cemetary", No "medals"; just desperation, misery and depression. No Major media source has EVEN MENTIONED the numbers of suicides in our military, since the "Liberation" of Iraq. .... Such figures are only found on the Internet, and "Left-Wing, Liberal" Radio. Mainstream-Media is far more interested in telling us about Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anniston's "breakup"... Dozens of hours have recently aired about it, while Hundreds of thousands have died in the tsunami, and more are dying daily in "Bush's War". Question: Why did it take George W. FOUR days to make a statement about the tsunami??? Answer: It took him that long to learn to pronounce the word "tsunami".............. Dave
"George-the-Lesser" has come up with a radical method of reform for America's Health-Care problems. He has modifed the "recommended dietary-guidlines" !!! Not any discussion of prescription-drug costs, no relief for malpractice-insurance, no reform of the F.D.A. (who is largely controlled by pharmaceutical companies), no increases in research-grants, no attempt to stop drug-companies from STEALING newly-discovered drugs from the N.I.H. (Federally funded research gave us "Taxol", and "AZT"; both of which are now patented by pharmaceutical companies). Bush's solution for Health-Care reform is: "Eat more fruits & vegatables, and exercise more". WELL DUH!!!!! He also repeated his well-worn-phrase recently regarding Social-Security-Reform: "it's gonna be hard work"!!! This man is truly a "One-Trick-Pony". Without any TRUE solutions or initiatives, he resorts to "It's gonna be hard work"!!! The "elections" in Iraq are almost upon us... Never mind that most Iraqis are TOO AFRAID TO VOTE! Never mind that hundreds of election-officials have BEEN MURDERED!! Never mind that 25% of all Iraqis will NOT BE REPRESENTED WITH CANDIDATES!! Bush has always said: "we've gotta stay-the-course"... His reason for the Iraq invasion was an "imminent-threat" of W.M.D.s and "Nuke-yuh-lur" weapons. Strangely, he has "changed-course"; Now saying that our "mission" is to "bring Democracy to the people of Iraq". TALK ABOUT "FLIP-FLOPPING"!!!! I guess that it's O.K. for FOX T.V. to run blatant lies by "SWIFT BOAT" Veterans; but it is wrong for C.B.S. to make honest-mistakes and appologize for them. You know FOX; the network owned by Bush-ass-kisser and Republican donor: Rupert Murdoch. FOX news, the network that disseminates lies and inuendo by prefacing it with phrases like: "sources say,"; or: "it is believed", or: "according to some,". Such complete lack of journalistic ethics is treasonable. C.B.S., on the other hand; made a mistake, corrected and appologized for it... as the result of the industry-pressure to be "first". It is no co-incidence that the F.C.C. is now run by Colin Powell's son; and F.C.C. laws have been "relaxed" to enable Murdoch to strengthen his grasp on the broadcast media. It is common knowledge to "despots", "dictators" and "tyrants"; that it is necessary to control the "Media", in order to control the people. (Those same despots, dictators and tyrants that manipulate elections, start illegal-wars, and bankrupt their economies to profit their co-horts)...... SOUND FAMILIAR????????? Today, various media-sources have said that the "search for Weapons-of-mass-destruction" has been ended; SINCE NONE WERE EVER FOUND!!! May I remind readers, that 1000 U.N. weapons inspectors spent many years tracking such things.; and FOUND NONE!!!! The "sitting-President" is guilty of nothing less than "criminal-negligence". His in action before the "9-11" attacks are indefensible. The C.I.A. sent no less than 41 memos to Condaleeza Rice and the White House staff... warning about the Al Queda efforts to use airplaes as weapons. NO MEETINGS were convened, NO SECURITY was increased, NO INVESTIGATION was launched, while Al Queda operatives took "Flight-Lessons"!! "George-the-Lesser" was more interested in "Taking a vacation" in Crawford Texas, and doing "photo-ops" while he cut down trees!! When Bill Clinton received "intel" about pending Al Queda attacks during the "Millenium", he convened a barrage of high-level meetings and strategy sessions; sucessfully thwarting at least 2 attacks... (one on L.A.X. airport, and another on New York's Times Square). Bush has not only proved himself to be "incompetant", but also "CRIMINALLY NEGLIGENT" as well!! Four people, plus Dan Rather, have been fired by C.B.S. "co-president" Les Moonvess. Citing "errors", and "half-truths", a total of five people lost their jobs. The Bush White House issued a statement "praising" C.B.S. . Why can that SAME White House use lies, errors, and half-truths to steal an election, illegally invade a sovreign-nation, and kill thousands of civilians????These leaders of a so-called "Christian" "Moral-Majority" are neither "Christian" or "Moral". Condaleeza Rice received NO LESS than 41 memos WARNING OF AL QUEDA'S INTENT TO USE AIRPLANES TO ATTACK AMERICA!!! What did she do???? NOTHING!!!! What did Bush do??? Went to Crawford Texas, to vacation & cut down trees. The lies & "Half-truths" surrounding the "Weapons of Mass Destruction" and "imminent-threats of nuclear weapons" are incredible, shameless, and second-to-none. If these people don't lose their jobs, there is no justice in America!!! I call on C.B.S. to reverse it's decision regarding these firings.; not doing so would reveal the network to be merely another "corporate-mouthpiece", a spineless "whipping-boy" to Bush.... not capable of serious journalism...... This week's "Good News"... C.N.N. has fired conservative commentator Tucker Carlson. The "Bad-News": he has moved to M.S.N.B.C.... For those not familiar with Mr. Carlson, he's sort of like "Bill O"Reilly-Lite". Another Sean Hannity/ Rush Limbaugh/ Bill O'Reilly wanna-be. (But with a bow-tie) What's up with that bow-tie, anyway?? All neckties are un-necessary and archaic; but a BOWTIE is downright ludicrous!!! They have been "un-necessary", since the invention of the button!! Bowties are worn only by very-old & eccentric college-professors, restaurant Matre' D's, and CLOWNS!!!Perhaps he was emotionally-scarred by being named after an un-sucessful antique car; or perhaps he was unable to interupt his "guests" as effectively as Bill O'Reilly.... Telling them to "Shut-up!". Perhaps he was actually able to tell the difference between a "loofah", and a "falafel"..... (Unlike Bill O'Reilly). Maybe he finally came to accept the truth; and became ashamed of his "Neo-Con" lies and distortions.... (Not likely). The P.B.S. radio show, "Democracy Now", recently disclosed a story about a journalist from the San Deigo Monitor. (one named Gary Webb). This journalist had written a book which disclosed the connections between the George-Bush-Senior-C.I.A. and cocaine-profits being funneled to the Nicaraguan contras. It seems that the C.I.A. was actively involved in much of the cocaine-trafficking in most American cities during the 1980's. This journalist soon had "men-in-black" snooping around his apartment; some had been seen wearing all-black and ski-masks climbing his fire-escapes and raingutters with "considerable-dexterity... far more than the average burglar". When he decided to move to another apartment, he scheduled movers to come. The day of his scheduled-move, a "suicide-note" was found on his door by the movers. It said that they were NOT to enter, but to call the police. When police arrived, he was found dead, with (what the Medical-Examiner called: "two gun-shot wounds to the head"). The M.E. later changed the report to call it a "single shotgun wound". Why would someone who is "suicidal", schedule a "move", and rent another apartment??? This sounds STRANGELY similar to the U.N. Weapons inspector in England, who disputed the "yellow-cake-uranium" stories told by George Bush and his fellow crooks. This "weapons-inspector" was also found dead of so-called "self-inflicted" wounds; after his disclosure of "M.I.5" lies. Also strange, that NO other media-sources have reported this odd "suicide"!!! Any mentions of this "alleged" conspiracy are almost always discredited as "rumor" and "suposition"; without ANY further investigation or discourse. Webb has been branded as a "conspiracy-theorist", who was despondant about being "discovered" as such. His death has "been swept-under-the rug"; although he had NO history of depression or mental-illness.; and was planning to move to escape those who had been stalking him. It is also NOT a coincidence that the "War on Drugs" drags on forever; with NO serious attempts to treat the "consumption" side of the problem. Afghan war-lords are now producing RECORD ammounts of heroin, Colombian contras reap massive profits from cocaine production which ultimately goes to weapons-manufacturers. Lame-ass efforts to "interdict" supplies of drugs do NOTHING but increase the prices & profits of the drugs that are not intercepted. ( experts estimate nearly 80% of all smuggled-drugs ARE NOT CONFISCATED!!) Is it so "impossible -to-imagine" that "covert" organizations ("Black-Ops") could funnel money via drug-trafficking?? We saw Oliver North, covertly selling arms and munitions to Iran in exchange for American hostages. How many tons of heroin are NOW coming from Afghanistan, with C.I.A. approval?? The Bush/Cheney administration either "doesn't care", or is actively involved!! The "Military-Industrial-Complex" doesn't really care WHERE the money comes from; and as long as drugs remain "criminal-matters" instead of "Health-Care-matters", weapons manufacturers have a ready source of income. Massive numbers of Genocidal-killings and tribal-wars can be directly linked to the control of diamond trafficking; The only thing worth almost-as-much as diamonds is DRUGS!! The "War On Drugs" remains a "facade", a Public-relations-ploy to stop criticism, while keeping the cash-flow. The Government's approach to "The War on Drugs" is to build more prisons, and build LESS treatment facilites.; to build more border-fences, and to fund illegal-wars; to keep drugs "illegal", to insure the profit-motives. Such covert plots are tantamount to "treasonous"; yet when journalists or "weapons-inspectors" seek to speak-the-truth, they strangely "commit-suicide"!!!!! I would not be surprised to find "spooks" reading my blogs, tapping-my-phone, or watching my house as well.
