The New York Times is now the focus of Federal prosecutors, who are investigating the "leaks" of financial-data-gathering by U.S. intelligence; financial data which tracks flows of money to terrorists. This is OBVIOUSLY nothing more than an attack by "Neo-Cons" against a newspaper with a perceived "Left-Wing-Bias". ANY MORON (including those in the White House) knows that terrorist's funding has been "under-surveillance" FOR YEARS!!! Federal Government officials and White House "spokespersons" have been saying this HUNDREDS of times; especially after 9-11!! Does ANYONE actually think that Al Queda DOESN'T KNOW THIS???? This is political bullshit!! Terrorist networks have been using "Human-couriers", and "Non-electronic- communications " for more than 4 years!! The Terrorists aren't STUPID!! But it seems that Federal Prosecutors ARE!!! This is an INCREDIBLE waste of time, money, and resources... reminescent of the F.B.I. "Investigation" of Bill Clinton's sex-life!! ($25 MILLION DOLLARS, AND 250 investigators) What about "Investigating" the missing 9 BILLION DOLLARS which has been looted from the Iraq reconstruction-fund?? Or How about "investigating" the massive fraud and incompetance surrounding FEMA and New Orleans? How about "Investigating" the no-bid contracts awarded to Republican insiders? Perhaps they should "investigate" the secret & illegal "Energy-Policy-meetings" held by Dick Cheney... where various oil company executives met to divide the "spoils" of the pending Iraq war?? Maybe they should "Investigate" the secret business-dealings between the Bin-Ladin family and the Bush family?? It seems that the Neo-Con/ Rove "crime-family" will use every "trick-in-the-book" to divert, and defend their own corrupt and failed policies. On Chris Mathews' "Hardball", Tom Delay tried to portray the New York Times as "Left-Wing"... the same New York Times who actively pursued Bill Clinton during his impeachment!!!! Somebody needs to to take Tom Delay out and "smack some sense into him"!! Delay is SO delusional, and has been LYING for SO long, that HE ACTUALLY BELIEVES WHAT HE SAYS IS TRUE!! "Denial" must "Be a river IN TEXAS"!!!
