Today, an East-Coast Republican "politico" , named Marylin O'Grady, has attempted to mount a boycott of Bruce Springsteen's music. "The Boss" has volunteered his time and talent toward the campaign-comittee for Kerry., and now the Republicans are becoming desparate.... It seems that the only "celebrities" that Bush can muster are Lee Greenwood (WHO?), and Tim McGraw. Two inbred-redneck musicians who have limited appeal, and even less political insight. Does this Republican "Whacko" actually believe that ANYONE is going to express their political views by burning their Springsteen C.D.s???? Many Americans proudly display "Bumper-stickers" proclaiming "The Power of Pride"..... Have they forgotten that "Pride goeth before a fall"????? I am not especially impressed with Kerry, but I would GLADLY vote for a man who has the courage to "change his mind" about an issue, rather than a president who, "bullheadedly" pursues a policy of "staying the course"; when the course is OBVIOUSLY WRONG!!! Bush continues to create MORE Islamic militants every day; His Foreign-Policy reminds me of the statement of a Pentagon-spokesman, early in the war.... He said that their objective was to: "blow stuff up, and kill people". Bush is as obstinant, and single-minded as the president of Israel, Ariel Sharon. It is NOT POSSIBLE to "bomb, and kill your enemies and their families into "peace". If you follow Bush's strategy, we would have to kill EVERY Muslim on the face of the Earth!!! The "Christian Right", is neither "Right", or "Christian"....Bush justifies the killing of 11,000 Iraqi non-combatants with vague references to a "War on Terror", and the killing of 2300+ people on 9-11. What part of that is "CHRISTIAN"?????????? I encourage anyone who reads this to e-mail Ms. O'Grady, and inundate her with "outrage". Her attempts to support Bush are pathetic, ill-informed, and simply WRONG. Even William Buckley, on the Charlie Rose show, has admitted that Bush's war was ill-advised, and arbitray; Not based on credible evidence. He has also confessed that he believes Bush will LOSE the election, as a result of this war. .... Have we forgotten the promises of the 2000 campaign?? Those where Bush promised to "be a uniter, not a divider", where he promised to "downsize" government?, where he promised economic-growth based on tax-cuts"?? We now have UNPRECEDENTED bureaucracy, with Bush promising to establish a NEW level of "red-tape" in the intelligence-process., with a National Intelligence-director. The problem with "intelligence" is that BUSH HAS NONE!!! His tax-cuts, reminiscent of the "Trickle-down" economics of Reagan, have AGAIN caused economic stagnation, rising un-employment, MASSIVE Federal-Debt , while profitting the top-1% of tax-payers. The "rich" get richer, the environment gets pillaged, while American youth are killed . SO MANY military members are enlisted from the ranks the "poor" and "unemployed", yet I don't see the BUSH TWINS volunteering to join the military. Yesterday, QWest announced hundreds of job-cuts in the local Albuquerque call-center. Not long ago, M.C.I. closed it's "call-center"; laying-off hundreds. (out-sourcing such jobs to India). How long will it be before INTEL packs-up and moves to Mexico, or China??? Bush thinks that "Trade" is something that one does with baseball players, or bubble-gum-cards. Dave
