ECONOMIC TERRORISM Today, the "Office of Homeland Security" announced an elevated "Threat-Level", due to "Credible-sources". It seems that Al Queda has found it cheaper to make a few phone-calls and send a few e-mails, than it is to actually mount an attack. Such "credible sources" cause panic, and escalate the activities of law-enforcement and intelligence agencies. Osama Bin Ladin can send a few vague e-mails, and sit back to watch us scurry around like cockroaches. We saw companies that make "duct-tape " and plastic sheeting experience "record-setting" sales, shortly after an escalation of the "Threat-Level". Such "scare-tactics" MAY even be fabricated; as they also serve to increase the paranoia in America, and therefore, the support for Bush's "War On Terrorism". Every time the "Threat-Level" is increased; Bush, Ashcroft, and Ridge appear on T.V. to re-affirm their resolve against "Terror". Instantly, the "Bush-approval-rating" climbs in the public-polls. It also serves as a boost for the "Military-Industrial-Complex", and an excuse for rising gas-prices. With Bush's intimate connections in Saudi Arabia, a "conspiracy-theorist" might even suspect his collaboration with Bin Ladin. Why has a $50 MILLION DOLLAR REWARD not produced the capture or killing of Bin Ladin?? Any number of "free-lance" mercenaries should SURELY "JUMP AT THE CHANCE" to capture Bin Ladin. I would bet "good-money" that the capture of Bin Ladin will occur shortly before the November elections. What better device than his capture, to assure the re-election of "George-The-Lesser"???? He can ride the "Patriotic-Fervor" ALL THE WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE!!!!! Dick Cheney appeared in Albuquerque on July 31st. Tickets to his speech were given ONLY to those who agreed to sign a " loyalty-oath" to Bush- Cheney. Citing "security-concerns", a Republican spokesman made vague references to subversive "Democratic activists". Sound strangely familiar?? I guess I mistakenly believed that Cheney was EMPLOYED BY ALL AMERICAN CITIZENS!! Not just a few Republican "nut-jobs!" I suppose that I should not be surprised, since Cheney has spent more than 60% of his "public-appearances" RAISING MONEY FOR THE RE-ELECTION!!!! Doesn't he have WORK TO DO??? If you or I failed to do our jobs 60% of the time, we would IMMEDIATELY be fired!!! Lets make sure that Cheney gets his "walking-papers" as well!! ..........Dave
