Monday, May 3rd 2004; the Wall Street Journal ran an article about the recent changes to Medicare. It seems that the "head" of Medicare wanted to publically release the cost-estimates of the changes. He was subsequently treatened by the Bush administration with loss-of-his-job , if he made his estimates public. According to the Wall Street Journal, this is a blatant violation of Federal-Law. It seems that Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld have NO regard for domestic-law as well as international-law. The "outing" of a C.I.A. operative by the Bush cabinet has largely been forgotten by the public; though it is clearly constitutes "treason. The illegal-invasion of a "sovreign" nation is another clear violation of international-law. Now Bush is asking Congress for an ADDITIONAL 25 BILLION DOLLARS FOR HIS ILL-CONCEIVED, ILLEGAL INVASION!!! How dare he ask American tax-payers to support his mis-guided, ill-advised war??? He has squanderd the largest Federal-budget-surplus in history, wants 87 Billion dollars, PLUS another 25 Billion to pay for his war!! Meanwhile, Americans are losing their jobs at an alarming rate; many increases in the "employment-rate" are the result of Americans having to hold-down TWO jobs instead of one!!! Here in New Mexico, the Albuquerque Public Schools are facing a budget-short-fall of 40 million dollars. Federal education funding has all-but "dried-up", and teachers are being "laid-off"; while Bush touts an un-workable plan called "No Child Left Behind"... Any teacher will tell you that this plan is impractical, and un-workable. The changes made to Medicare have only served to confuse people, maintain the exhorbitant profits of drug-companies, and place a larger burden on those who don't qualify for Medicare! Bush's second-largest campaign-contributor was the Pharmaceutical Industry !!!! Who's interest is being served?? Surely not the American public!!! Bush continues to tell us we must "stay the course" in Iraq. It seems oddly reminiscent of the "Titanic".... who also "stayed the course"!!! Lemmings "stay-the-course"; just before going over a cliff! Bush brings new meaning to the the words: "self-righteous", and "obstinant".!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dave
