The latest "rat" to abandon the "sinking-ship" in Washington is now Colin Powell. Today, he publicly stated that the troop-strength used in Iraq was inadequate. He is now the latest of many, to speak publicly about Donald Rumsfeld's flagrant failures in judgement and policy, while Republicans counter with statements about "hindsight always being "20/20"... Meanwhile, "Druggie" Rush Limbaugh has agreed to a "plea-bargain" to avoid serious jail-time for "doctor-shopping" and illegal use of prescriptions which were not his own, to feed his Oxycontin addiction. Karl Rove has now made FIVE appearances before a Grand Jury, regarding his "leak" of classified information. The "swagger" and confidence, which he exhibited early in the investigation is now "long-gone"... It seems that ONE appearance before a Grand Jury may be "troubling", but FIVE may indicate SERIOUS discrepancies in his earlier testimony, and possible grounds for indictments for TREASON!!! Tomorrow, the planned "Strike" by "illegal" alien workers is scheduled to take place. I predict that it will have LITTLE effect; Those who choose to "Take-off" from work may face the loss of their jobs, and rumours of mass-deportations and arrests have surfaced . Those who "take-off" from school, face suspensions or expulsion. The "goods & services" which may be affected can surely wait until Tuesday... The "Strike" also has the possibility of "polarizing" many Americans; portraying many of the "strikers" as un-grateful, as well as being "illegal". If the working conditions and wages in their OWN countries was "not-to-their-liking", perhaps they should have "protested" there. American jobs, considered "entry-level" and "unskilled", are becoming more & more difficult to find. The "out-sourcing" of American jobs has only added "fuel-to-the-fire", while the massive influx of "illegals" devastates the infrastructures of border-town communities. Such "border-towns" become "highways" for drug-trafficking, human-smuggling, property-damage, and a host of crimes. Their hospitals, schools, and police-departments are overwhelmed by the masses of "illegals" who flagrantly ignore American law. When caught, these law-breakers receive NO punishment... they are merely bussed into Mexico to allow them to re-enter AGAIN!! Imagine having several HUNDRED people PER DAY, tear down YOUR fences, scatter YOUR livestock, steal from YOUR property, and leave a masssive trail of litter & and garbage IN YOUR YARD!! Piles of plastic bags, back-packs, water-jugs, old clothes, and human excrement appear EVERY DAY on the ranches which border Mexico. Is this the "positive-influence" made by these criminals? The "Border-town" of Juarez Mexico has seen scores of young women MURDERED in the past few years. Are these the "Law abiding" citizens who are making such "Positive contributions" to the American society and economy?? Recently, incidents of shootings at police have increased in such "border-towns"; It now seems that Border Patrol agents and local police are being targeted by drug-traffickers and human-smugglers. Many have complained that "without illegal-aliens, who would clean America's homes? who would pick America's crops?, who would mow America's lawns. Perhaps if Americans cleaned their own homes, picked their own crops, and mowed their own lawns, THEY WOULDN'T BE SO DAMN FAT!!! I have three "adult" sons, who are resigned to work at menial, "minimum-wage" jobs... while well-paying construction jobs are being taken largely by "Mexican-Nationals".... many being paid "under-the-table", "with-cash", and NOT paying ANY taxes!!! Their children are attending American schools, DEMANDING "bi-lingual" classes. They fill American Hospital's emergency rooms because they have no "health-care" and emergency-rooms ARE FREE TO THOSE WHO CANNOT PAY!!! If you, or I decided to move to France, Germany, or Sweden, would we be allowed to stay without proper documentation? Would we be allowed to avoid paying their taxes? Could we demand that "English" be taught to our children, FOR FREE? Could we attend their schools and universities FOR FREE?? Some have proposed massive border-fences..... Perhaps a few "mine-fields" would do the trick??

The White House now has a new "Press Secretary"... one Tony Snow, formerly of FOX News. It brings new meaning to the term "SNOW-JOB"... Much like the Bush tactic of hiring lobbyists as "Cabinet-level" officials, The "Bush/Cheney crime-family" no longer has to issue "talking-points" via FOX News. They now have FOX News DIRECTLY issuing statements, and directing the "spin". It has been carefully "pointed-out", that Snow has been critical of George Bush in the past. Well, that's pretty much of a "no-brainer"... A person would have to be "clinically-brain-dead" to NOT find things to criticize!!! Such criticisms have been skillfully mentioned to show how "Fair & Balanced" he is. Check out Robert Greenwald's film "OUTFOXED", to see just how "Fair & Balanced" the FOX News Network is. Greenwald video-taped thousand of hours of FOX News, and systematically disected their propaganda, skillfully illustrating their art of manipulation, inuendo, and "half-truths"... Often creating their own "news" (such as the famous toppling of Saddam's statue in Bhagdad). The "Neo-Cons" are now running-scared; Republicans are "Jumping-ship" every day, hoping to save their Congressional seats this fall. I have heard Bush's "legacy" described as "Death By a Thousand Cuts"; not just ONE issue which troubles Americans, but literally dozens of blunders, mistakes, lies, and failures. A TOTAL lack of administrative capability of ANY FORM!! The list includes, but is not limited to: "Hurricane Katrina's response", MASSIVE Federal debt & spending, obscene profits of his "oil-buddies", "Rendition & torture" of prisoners-of-war, outrageous gasoline prices, strategic failures in Iraq, No "Real" economic growth.. ( economic figures which exclude the obscene oil-company profits and the housing "bubble", reveal a stagnant economy... NOT the "healthy" economy touted by Bush "experts"), "Health-care" costs and prescription drug costs becoming TOTALLY un-affordable for nearly HALF of all Americans, NO insight into things like "Global Warming", "renewable-fuels", tax-reform, "Homeland-Security"(ports, borders, and "intelligence"), Immigration, etc. Bush's "tax-reform" has ALWAYS BEEN "tax-cuts for the wealthy" and the "corporate-insiders" who "line-his-pockets". This week, the major oil companies have announced "record-breaking" profits...While Americans are "pawning" their posessions to be able to afford gas to drive to work! Meanwhile these same companies are benefiting from billions in "incentives" resulting from the Republican "Energy-Bill" passed recently. If oil-companies were TRULY operating on a "free-market" system, THEY WOULDN'T GET "INCENTIVES"!! They would also be generating about the SAME profits as they historically did.... NOT "RECORD-BREAKING" PROFITS!!! What-in-the-Hell were Americans thinking, when they elected TWO oil-company "insiders" to the White House?? ... As well as allowing Condi (Exxon) Rice, and a myraid of other "energy" manipulating thieves to run the country?? KEN LAY WAS BUSH'S LARGEST "CAMPAIGN-CONTRIBUTOR"!!! Dick Cheney's secret "Energy-Policy-Meetings" can ONLY be investigated by "Subpoena" from Congress.... AND THEY ARE ALL REPUBLICANS and often "connected" to energy interests!! Former "Secretary-of-the Interior" Gayle Norton, WAS FORMERLY A LAWYER REPRESENTING THE COAL-MINING INDUSTRY!!! Is it any wonder that Federal coal-mining safety laws have recently been so flaunted, and ignored? Any wonder why coal-fired electric-generating stations continue to "strip-mine"& contaminate aquifers and water-sheds?? Coal-mining companies commit THOUSANDS of safety-violations annually; yet pay a paltry "few-thousand-dollars" for violations WHICH HAVE KILLED MORE THAN 25 MINERS IN THE PAST YEAR ALONE! 45% of all Americans HAVE NO "HEALTH-CARE-COVERAGE"!!!In other countries, such corruption would make people "rise-up" in revolution.....Where is OUR "outrage"?? Where is the "America" dreamed-of by our parents and their parents? America is systematically being looted and plundered FROM WITHIN!! The philosophy of greed and profit began during the Reagan years has now come back to "bite-us-on-the-ass". The "Middle-Class" is systematically being driven into abject-poverty, with no "social safety-nets" to protect them. The Republican agenda , for years, has been to dis-assemble the social-gains of Franklin Roosevelt; for their own profit. We are now on the verge of another "Great-Depression".. When the housing-bubble collapses, when people can no-longer afford to drive to work or own cars, when "good-paying" jobs are out-sourced to foreign countries, when unions cannot protect their members from corporations, when medical costs create record-numbers of bankruptcies, When companies "default" on their employee's retirement funds, when people no longer seek work due to paltry wages in the "service-industry", When wars are created to stimulate military-industrial spending, etc.... Our economy WILL COLLAPSE!! Do any of these events "Sound-familiar"??? The economic "Perfect-Storm" is gathering.

"Energy-independance"... a complex and difficult undetaking to be sure. However, here's an idea which can save America 6.34 BILLION GALLONS of oil per year.. STOP HEATING OUR HOMES WITH OIL!! These homes, (10.6 MILLION), already have boilers, which can be easily converted to burning "pellet" fuels. These "pellets" (which look like rabbitt-turds) are compressed forms of "Bio-mass", such as straw, corn-husks, weed, hemp, or saw-dust. They already provide CHEAPER amounts of B.T.U.s than their fossil-fuel competition, and are totally renewable. Such fuels are also clean-burning, producing LESS sulfur emissions than coal and fuel-oil. Huge quantities of these fuels are commonly burned in our National Forests, in "Controlled-burns" to lessen the chance of massive forest fires. These same "bio-mass" fuels could easily be harvested and converted to "pellet" fuels for American homes. We MUST demand Federal incentives to convert ALL boiler-based home heating systems to such renewable "pellet" fuels. We must DEMAND a stop to the tax-incentives for oil companies, such as Exxon-Mobil, who reap obscene profits from their monopolies. Many of these boiler-equipped homes can also benefit from solar collectors which "pre-heat" the water in their systems. Small truck-mounted wood-chippers and pellet compactors could easily manufacture such fuels "on-site" in our National Forests, from wood which is currently burned anyway. Farm wastes and commercially-grown bio-mass such as hemp could also be profitable sources of income for America's farmers. WE MUST stop the ownership of our government by "Big-Oil" interests..... Has anyone yet learned the identity of those who attended Cheney's secret "Energy-Policy-Meetings" of 2001??? I WOULD BET MY LIFE THAT THOSE MEETNGS INCLUDED "MAJOR" OIL INTERESTS SUCH AS EXXON-MOBIL!!! If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention!

Today, our "Fearless-leader" exhibited another example of his stupidity and lack of command of the English-Language. In comments about recent bombings in Egypt, he said that they were "Hey-nee-us" acts of cowards. It seems that the word: "Heinous" has either taken on another syllable, or the "Idiot-in Chief" is unaware of it's actual pronunciation. Any examination of numerous dictionaries clearly indictaes that it has TWO syllables! I can't wait for "Duibyuh-Dumbass" to combine both of his mis-pronunciations into ONE sentance.... perhaps something like: "Iran clearly intends to use it's "NUKE-YUH-LUR" weapons for "HEY-NE-US" purposes"!!! How did this man "grad-gee-ate" from College??? Me thinks perhaps his daddy's money had something to do with it???

I found an old "quote" today; It goes like this: "Work, like you don't need the money... Love, like you've never been hurt..... and dance, like nobody's watching"..... I have often told my sons the "True-Meaning -Of-Happiness".... along with the afore-mentioned philosophy; "Find something that you're good at, and enjoy doing.... Then figure out how you can make a lot of money doing it". Dave.... (I'm still working on that last part)
In recent days, at least SIX retired generals have spoken-out demanding the resignation of Donald Rumsfeld as Secretary of Defense. Citing things like "arrogance", "incompetance", and a "confrontational" style of administration, his critics have accused him of the current quagmire in Iraq. George W. Bush was quick to mount a defense; his "spin-meisters" produced a public-statement which defended Rumsfeld, and claimed "full-confidence" in him. Have we forgotten the infamous quote: "You're doin' a heck of a job "Brownie"!!"... It might NOW sound like: "You're doing a heck of a job, "Rummy"!!" Bush could hardly do anything but defend "Rummy". His notorious strategy of "stay-the-course" would collapse if Rumsfeld were replaced. It would only underscore the failures of his administration; and besides, Bush doesn't REALLY run the government or make decisions anyway!! Bush "Firing" Rumsfeld would be like Kermit the Frog "firing" Jim Henson!! I GUARANTEE that we will see a significant number of Republican Congressman (who are "up-for-re-election") "jumping-ship" before the election... We will soon see the "rats abandoning the sinking ship"... turning on Rumsfeld to save their own asses! Dave

Feel "safe"???? Homeland Security is doing it's typical-bungling act, as usual. Recently , it's Assisitant Press Secretary was arrested for soliciting a 14-year old girl on the internet. (Who actually was a police officer conducting a "sting") This pedophile actually sent his own picture via e-mail, featuring his "Homeland Security" I.D. badge!!!It seems , again, that political-appointments have superceeded the need for "qualified" staff. One would think, that "Homeland Security" would be able to tell the difference between a 14-year-old girl, and a "police-sting"!!! Most recently one Staff Sargent Daniel Brown was detained at LAX airport, after returning fron service in Iraq. His name appeared on the "No-Fly-List", although he had served two "tours-of-duty", and was wearing his uniform. It seems that during a previous flight to return to Iraq, electronic detectors at the airport found "gunpowder-residue" on his boots. Adopting the philosophy of "No-Man left behind", his unit waited for an hour while the matter was resolved. God help you, if your name happens to "Mohammed", you work in the pyrotechnics industry, or "re-load" your own ammunition. Meanwhile, the MILLIONS of cargo-containers entering our country are totally IGNORED!! It won't take a genius to infiltrate a "safe" shipping company, forge documents, and smuggle a weapon into one of America's harbors!! Meanwhile, the Taliban in Afghanistan, has renewed it's offensives against American troops and Afghani citizens.... due largely to the ENORMOUS profits gained from the record-opium-poppy harvests there. (Afghanistan is the world's NUMBER ONE PRODUCER OF HEROIN!!) Bush's "International-policy" has been one of incompetant chaos.. attacking Iraq based on pre-conceived agendas and lies, formenting vast numbers of NEW Jihadists, and allowing military/industrial contractors to loot, pilfer, and profit. By the way, What ever happened to Rumsfeld's statement that "The oil-revenues from Iraq will pay for the war"???? Gasoline prices are again passing $3.00 per gallon; Mobil Exxon has recorded the LARGEST profit in world-history,( I read recently, that the ACTUAL cost of crude-oil is only two-thirds of what refiners are paying.... the other third is PROFITS paid to "Energy-futures-traders"!!!) and Halliburton is awarded another "N0-Bid" contract.... this time to "rebuild new Orleans"!!! How's that "rebuilding of Iraq" going??? Iraq citizens have LESS electricity, LESS gasoline, and LESS clean water than they had under the Saddam regime!! It's now 1 & 1/2 months until the "hurricane-season" begins again in the Gulf of Mexico. The citizens of New Orleans are systematically being denied their voting-rights by "White" Republicans; efforts have been made to thwart the largely-"black" and Democrat majority from voting "out-of-state". Sounds a lot like FLORIDA 2000 !!!!! These corrupt bastards care NOTHING for "people"; only for their own profits, and will DO ANYTHING , and SAY ANYTHING to win elections!!

The latest example of: "If the president does it, It MUST be legal".... "Scooter" Libby has now testified before his Federal Grand Jury, that He was directed to "leak" the identity of Valerie Plame/ Wilson by Dick Cheney & George W. Bush; along with other associated "classified" info. While it is true that a president has the authority to "de-classify" information, it has to be done through the "correct" legal channels. In this case, Bush in NOW claiming that this treasonous act was merely his "de-classification" of "Intelligence" in order to "tell the American people the truth!"...Another LAME attempt to "cover-his ass"!! After all... "IF THE PRESIDENT DOES IT, IT MUST BE LEGAL???" That is the same philosophy which governs kings and monarchs.... NOT presidents!!!Bush is SO stupid, that he thinks "Checks & Balances" refers to his bank account!!! Historically, such flagrant abuse-of-powers has triggered things like "The French Revolution", The American Revolution", or the "Russian Revolution"!!! Meanwhile, Laura Bush preaches: "let them eat cake"!! "The wheel is still spinning, but the hampster is BRAIN-DEAD!!!"
