What actually IS the "Mission" in Iraq? We are supposed to "Stay the course" & "complete the Mission"; Yet our "Fearless-Leader" cannot effectively explain"The Mission"... First, it was to depose Saddam Hussein and his "Weapons Of Mass Destruction"...(although many experts believed that they DIDN'T EXIST!) Next, the "Mission" was to "establish Democracy" and "stabilize the region".... although Bush has previously stated that he's "Not interested in Nation-building". Political-Science experts have often stated that the situation in Iraq is VERY complex, and Very dangerous; yet "Dubyuh"can only respond with prepared "one-liners" such as: "It's hard work!" Bush campaigned on a "platform" of "smaller-government", "better-education", "lower-taxes", and "improved Health-care". To date, he hasn't addressed EVEN ONE of these issues! He continues to "suck-up" to his "Fundamentalist-base"; Destroying the economy, bankrupting Social-Security, escalating Health-care-costs, sacrificing environmental-standards, and sending massive numbers of American jobs overseas.... with a simplistic excuse: "9-11 changes everything". The "Neo-Cons" continue to divert and distract; attempting to further enhance their "power-base" with appointments to the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, evidence is continuing to mount of MASSIVE corruption and bribery in their ranks. The inquiries into Scanlon/Delay corruption is now targeting dozens of members of Congress. In a typical example of the Bush-administration's contempt and disregard for the will of the people, a C.N.N./ U.S.A.Today/ Gallop poll revealed that 60% of Americans DO NOT WANT TO OVERTHROW "ROE VS. WADE" !!! Such figures are also evident in the polls which show less than 40% of Americans support the war and feel Bush is "doing a good job"!! Is this the "MANDATE" that Bush mentioned? Is this his "Political-capital"? If a corporate-leader cannot "DO A GOOD JOB", THEY ARE FIRED!!! ( An exception being the C.E.O. of General Motors.... who recently fired 30,000 employees... closed 12 factories, and STILL receives his salary of MORE THAN 9 MILLION DOLLARS PER YEAR!!) Bush cannot even "establish-Democracy" in America; chosing rather to subvert it and sell it to the "Highest-bidder". "He's speaks with forked-tongue!" LIES!!!! We must do EVERYTHING in our power to displace the "Neo-Con" liars and their greedy, thieving accomplices.... Americans pay THREE TIMES more than Canadians or British citizens for comparable Health-Care... (Don't forget; that the "Health-care industry is the SECOND-LARGEST CONTRIBUTOR to the Republican Party!!).... If you're NOT "OUTRAGED, THEN YOU'RE NOT PAYING ATTENTION!!!!".........Dave

Today, I had the opportunity to watch FOX cable news; a discussion of Democratic representative John Murtha's call for an immediate withdrawl from Iraq. The FOX propaganda-machine had two military "experts"; who both echoed the new "Bullet-Point" from the Neo-Con spinmeisters. The Republicans have now begun using the phrase: "cut & run" to describe any withdrawl from Iraq. This is another one of their "talking-point/ Bullet-points"; which have been faithfully rehearsed and dispersed to the various "Fair & balanced" pundits. In a perfect recitation of the "Party-Line", Republican representative Jean Schmidt of Ohio today ignited a near-riot in the House of Representatives. After stating that it is "no time to cut & run", she made thinly-veiled accusations against fellow representative John Murtha, who proposed the Iraqi-withdrawl; accusing him of "cowardice". COWARDICE... from a man who served in Viet Nam, was wounded, and has since served on the House "Armed-Services-Comittee""!???? This was SO outrageous, that she was heckled and booed for several minutes. (the video of her "speech" can be seen on MSN web-site) The "bullet-point" speaks of "cut & run"..... a convenient phrase which conjures up images of cowardice, fear, and lack-of-patriotism. Meanwhile, "Insurgents-atacks" continue to kill civilians and military every day. Evidence has surfaced of Iranian "death-squads" crossing into Iraq to assassinate rival factions. Bush continues to promote "staying the course", "complete the mission", while reminding us that "It's hard work". How does HE know about "hard-work"? he has taken MORE vacation-days than any president in history!! He has also failed to define any "mission", or "course". At first, the "Mission" was to locate "Weapons of Mass destruction", then the "Mission" changed to finding "Plans for Weapons of Mass Destruction", then it became " deposing "Saddam Hussein", then it was "creating a Democracy" in Iraq. (Remember when Bush said that he wasn't "interested in nation-building"???) LIAR!!!! The Republican strategists can only put forth a two-dimensional response: "Now is not the time to cut & run". Such rhetoric fails to seriously address the complex quagmire which we now face; it serves only to illicit an emotional-response from those who still believe the Republican lies. George W. Bush and Dick Cheney certainly KNEW HOW TO "CUT & RUN" FROM SERVICE IN THE MILITARY DURING VIET-NAM!!!!. Many government experts have stated that the Bush administration is "the most secretive" administration in the last 150 years; WHAT ARE THEY HIDING??? ............Please forward this "blog" to anyone you like.
