I've been ranting about Bush's "administrative-incompetence" and "criminal-negligence" for months!! Today, the P.B.S. show "The Mclaughlin Group" reinforced my long-held beliefs. Speaking of the Republican's myriad woes, Mclaughlin referred to their "Rampant Dysfunctionality". While they control most of the government, they STILL blame their failures on "Partisanship" and "those obstructionist Democrats"!! Even Alan Greenspan has recently warned of dire economic consequences, lest we address the MASSIVE deficits ammassed by Bush's incompetance. Colin Powell has sided with three Republican-Senators, who have had the backbone to question the nomination of the "loose cannon" Bolton. (a lot like "rats leaving a sinking ship".)?? The "smoke & mirrors" of this administration cannot be sustained; a "house of cards" will eventually collapse, and The Republican's incredibly inept management of our nation will soon become evident to all Americans. The latest figures regarding "Health-Care" in America are directly related to the disasterous "Profit & Loss" predictions by General Motors. (G.M. has experienced MASSIVE losses in the past year, and is teetering on the brink of bankruptcy) It has now been found that "Health-Care" costs of American auto-workers adds an average $1700 to the cost of EVERY AMERICAN-MADE CAR!! Compare this to the $150.00 of Canadian, or Japanese auto-workers, it is obvious that American auto-workers are soon to be extinct. (Japan and Canada have free, "socialized" medicine) We can soon expect ALL of the "American" autos to be made in India, or China!! When a "crime" is comitted, it is wise to "follow the money". The "Money" in this case, leads DIRECTLY TO THE WHITE HOUSE! Guess who receives MASSIVE donations from the "Health-Care Industry"??? "Dumb-Ass-Dubyuh"... that's who!! Recent stats. have shown that WALMART is the one of the LARGEST "Trade-Partners" of China... Walmart buys more Chinese goods than most countries., while sucking the "life-blood" out of every small-business where they invade. What happens to Walmart, when the jobless Americans can no-longer afford to buy their cheap, Chinese crap???? For every "Minimum-wage" job created by Walmart, they destroy dozens of American manufacturing and retailing jobs. A recent attempt to block a new Walmart "Super Center" in Albuquerque was defeated; although scores of people protested, and despite the exictence of THREE "Super-Centers" WITHIN THREE MILES OF THE NEW STORE!!! I suppose, when gasoline prices reach $5.00 per gallon, we will need "Super-Centers" within "walking-distance".... as local-merchants will be long-gone, and no-one can afford to drive............. "ARRRGH! Mateys; Up anchor, and hoist the flag".... the "Pirates of the Congress" are preparing to "plunder" again!! Neo-Cons are now mounting an all-out assault on the Judicial system. They are attempting to re-write the rules , regarding "Fillibusters" , to "stack-the-deck".... to install their own Ultra-conservative judges . These judges, remember, ARE APPOINTED FOR LIFE!!! The "Neo-Cons" will stop at nothing to gain TOTAL control of OUR government! Their methods are "Attack" anyone or anything that might be contrary to their narrow views. Tom Delay is attempting to change the rules of congress to dis-allow fillibusters, thereby allowing Republicans to control the Judicial , as well as the Executive and Legislative branches of the government! ABSOLUTE POWER, CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY!! They have "whined" and complained about "obstructionist" Democrats, yet they have installed nearly ALL of their judcial nominees; FAR MORE THAN ANY PRESIDENT IN HISTORY!! Delay "de-LIAR", has previously thwarted examination of his "Mis-conduct" in Congress, by removing any member of the "Ethics Comittee" who did not contribute to his causes. "Druggie" Rush Limbaugh recently made an "on-air" reference to a "blow job", in a lame attack on Bill Clinton. These greedy bastards HAVE NO "POSITVE" AGENDAS, THEY HAVE NO "ACCOMPLISHMENTS", WHEN THEY CANNOT SPEAK TO "ISSUES, THEY RESORT TO LAME, PERSONAL ATTACKS!! They cannot discuss the economy, the war, the Social-Security system, un-employment, trade-deficits, foreign-policy, the environment, or ANY serious matters. All they can do, is "smear", "attack", "Lie", and divert attention from the truth. Where is the "Public-Outcry" over Limbaugh's "obscenity" ??? I guess it's O.K. for Rush to mention a "B.J."; but Howard Stern gets fined!!! The REAL obscenity, is the Republican "witch-hunt" that tried to impeach Clinton. More than 25 MILLION DOLLARS were spent, and 250 F.B.I. agents were diverted by the "Neo-Cons" to discuss the stains on a "blue-dress"!!! Meanwhile, Al Queda agents were operating in America and TAKING FLIGHT-LESSONS!! The "Intelligence-agencies" didn't have enough resources to investigate them.... too busy interviewing Linda Tripp!!!!! Such conduct is nothing-short of "criminal-negligence"!!! The Republican -Congress is also attempting to install their chosen-candidate as Ambassador to the U.N. What better way to further alienate the rest of the world, to stir up contempt for America, to exascerbate the "Fear-quotient" in the U.S., than to put Bolton in office??? While we should be CO-OPERATING, AND NEGOTIATING with foreign powers, "Dubyuh-Dumbass" is trying to install a "loose-cannon" who obviously need to take his Prozac!!! Bush's policies have done NOTHING TO MAKE US "SAFER"; His lies and megomaniacal-hubris have served ONLY to recruit more "Insurgents" in Iraq. Today, the Pentagon relaeased a statement which stated that the "Path to democracy" was "on-track"; and that the insurgents were "losing power", and becoming "more disorganized". Odd, since last week the "insurgents" managed to shoot-down a helicopter (killing all aboard), and sucessfully kidnapping and executing 50 Iraqi "security-force" members!! All serious "Intelligence" agencies have concluded that "insurgent" activities are becoming more and more sophisticated, and co-ordinated; with "recruitment" of such terrorists increasing exponentially. The Bush administration continues to "spin" and lie about the TRUTH!!! The American military "body-count" has now reached 1526. FIFTEEN HUNDRED AND TWENTY-SIX AMERICAN "SONS & DAUGHTERS".... Is this Bush's new "Culture of Life"??? Is this a reflection of his "Christian" ideals?? Is this part of his "Right to Life" campaign??? Estimates of Iraqi CIVILIAN deaths range from 50,000 to 100,00!!!! The cost of the Bush "Crusade" has now topped 700 BILLION DOLLARS!! PLUS THE PENTAGON BUDGET OF OVER 800 BILLION!!!!!! Do you wonder why gas-prices are so high??? THERE IS A TEXAS "OIL-MAN" IN THE WHITE HOUSE!!! The corrupt, corporate saturation of this administration is unprecedented; and the "Federal-Deficit" is exploding!!! Yet Rush Limbaugh can only "counter" with "Bill Clinton lied about getting a blow-job"!!! The Neo-Cons HAVE NOTHING TO SAY!! NOTHING TO CLAIM AS PROGRESS, NOTHING TO "BRAG ABOUT" EXCEPT HOLDING AN ELECTION IN Iraq!!...... AT WHAT COST???????

Well, tax-day is here.... Yours & my money, (or lack thereof), financing the endless bureaucracy. Remember when "DUBYUH" was campaigning?? He promised "smaller" government, less bureaucracy, less "waste". He has, to date, SPENT MORE MONEY, AMASSED MORE DEBT, AND CREATED MORE AGENCIES THAN ANY PRESIDENT IN HISTORY! What ever happened to our Federal-Budget-Surplus?? Speaking of taxes; it is a common Republican-tactic to offer "tax-cuts" as "Bait". Portraying taxes as "bad", they try to become "heroes" to the taxpayers, by "cutting-taxes". AMERICANS DON'T MIND PAYING TAXES!! Most Americans realize that taxes are necessary to finance the operation of government services. What Americans DO mind, is the "gravy-train", the "pork", the irresponsible & reckless spending with little or no regard to a "Balanced Budget"!!! Americans also resent the overly-complex income-tax structure, which is often used to avoid paying taxes by those who can manipulate the "loopholes" with the benefit of lawyers, accountants, and "shelters". Very few Americans can even COMPREHEND the "Tax-code", let alone use it to their advantage. This results in the "very-rich" being able to pay far less than their "fair-share", if anything at all! In 1969, the American "tax-code" could be held in ONE "three-ring-binder". Today, it approaches nearly THIRTY VOLUMES!! The "code" is SO complex that only "professional" tax-preparers, and software-programs can decifer it. The employees of the I.R.S. cannot even provide advice or information which is "legal" in a court or I.R.S. audit. The U.S. Constitution says: (Section8, Chapter one) "all duties, imposts, and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States"... This part of the Constitution was ignored, when the government decided to impose ANYTHING except a "flat-tax". The "Income-Tax" is NOT "uniform" BY ANY DEFINITION OF THE WORD!! A recent "ploy" used by many of the "rich", is an "an individual-trust". These "trusts", which are available in many states, allow rich-people to put their assets in an non-taxable "trust"; yet STILL be able to use the assets, spend the money, and NOT PAY A DIME IN TAXES!! Some of these "trusts" are the properties owned by the "fat-cats". they can own vast ranches, lodges, farms, and buildings; If they allow some "non-profit" group an occassional use of the property(which is held in one of these "trusts"), they PAY NO TAX ON THE PROPERTY! Own a Billion-dollar estate, and let some "disabled" kids use it for a few weeks a year; and it is TAX-FREE!!! Then you can also "depreciate" it and ACTUALLY MAKE MONEY ON IT!! It is time for Americans to stage a "tax-revolt"... the only "fair" tax, is a "flat-tax". This week, the Neo-Cons in the Congress repealed the "inheritance-tax"... a tax -cut which benefits ONLY the very-wealthy!!! Sound familiar??? At the same time, Congress failed to pass a bill which would raise the "death-benefit" payment to the families of those killed in our military. Republicans claim to "support our troops", yet DO NOTHING TO SUPPORT THOSE WHO SERVE!! The "Death-benefit" is now a paltry $10,000 for the families of American soldiers who die in the Bush's war. This is an INSULT to those who "Pay-the-ultimate-price" in a war which was based on a LIE!!! The Republican-Lies just KEEP ON COMING!!If you are not OUTRAGED, you are not paying-attention!!! Is it any wonder, that military-recruitments are "down"??? "JOIN THE MILITARY, DIE FROM LACK-OF-BODY-ARMOR, AND HAVE YOUR WIFE & CHILDREN GO ON WELFARE??? " Not much of a recruitment slogan.... I guess that they truly anticipate having "An Army of one" sometime in the future!! ..... Sidebar: has anyone heard any repercussions from Rush Limbaugh's recent on-air-obscenity?? The self-righteous "Moron-Majority" is outraged and vocal at the sight of Janet Jackson's breast; yet "Druggie-Rush" CAN SAY THE WORD: "BLOW-JOB" ON THE AIR... and NOTHING happens!! Limbaugh made this reference, while attempting a lame attack on Bill Clinton. It seems that, again, when the "talking-heads" of the neo-con agenda cannot address real issues, they resort to personal attacks on Clinton. They CANNOT discuss the economy, the war, employment-stats., Social-Security, the deficit, the environment, "Homeland-Security", or hundreds of ACTUAL-ISSUES, so they resort to "blaming-Clinton"!!! This week, the Stock Market REACHED A LEVEL LOWER THAN THAT WHEN BUSH "TOOK OFFICE" IN 2000!! (This is the Stock Market, that Bush wants us to invest Social-Security money!!) If we had invested ( "privatized") our Social Security funds back in 200, we would now be showing a "NET-LOSS"!!! And what ever happened to the "Federal-Budget-Surplus", which is NEVER credited to Bill Clinton??? Bush's lack-of-fical-responsibility is MIND-BOGGLING!!! How can ANY rational American have trust in an administration which attacks any serious criticism, LIES and fabricates "news-stories", attempts to re-write Congressional-rules to avoid reprimand, "cherry-picks" C.I.A. intelligence to justify pre-conceived plans for war, cuts funding to schools and law-enforcement, panders to ultra-right-wing "Christian" fanatics, shows NO evidence of actual "Christian-Ethics", and profits from the killing in Iraq??? As George Carlin once said: "Imagine how stupid the "average person" is; AT LEAST HALF OF ALL PEOPLE ARE MORE STUPID THAN THAT!!!"" (I guess that the Republican cuts to schools, are an attempt to "dumb-down" American; and maintain their grip on the "un-informed")....... KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!!!!...................Dave

"Air America" radio, today reported some interesting facts about John Negroponte. It seems that during his tenure as ambassador to Nicaragua, he wrote numerous memos praising and endorsing some Guatemalan general. He also held weekly meetings with same general... It has recently "come-to-light" that this same general was operating "Death-squads"; responsible for "The Missing"... thousands of disidents who mysteriously "vanished" and were later found in mass-graves. This ALONE is should be grounds to deny his pending appointment, and warrants MUCH more further investigation!! In the matter of Halliburton; the most recent estimates of "over-charges" by them in the Iraq war now total $212 MILLION DOLLARS!! Yet still, Dick Cheney continues to collect his checks from Halliburton "stock-options"!!! Cheney should be in prison!! This "conflict-of-interest" constitutes criminal behavior, and his involvement MUST be pursued!! On another note, What ever became of the Saudi "Royal"; who attempted to smuggle tons of cocaine into France, under a "Diplomatic passport"??? Where is the "Media" coverage?? Why hasn't the Bush administration pressed for his extradition?? Perhaps the "cozy" relationship between Bush and the Saudi Royals is at issue??? It seems that EVERY day, new evidence surfaces about Republican corruption, "Neo-Con" lies, and the resultant "spin" which surrounds it. Most recently, the "memos" which have surfaced regarding Republican use of Terry Schiavo; have been LOUDLY denounced by Republican "Talkin-Heads", as "LIES, AND FABRICATIONS"..... Although there is SOLID evidence that this memo came from a Republican office, and staffer. The memo, (which urges Neo-Cons to make political-use of Terry Schiavo's sad plight), has been compared to the C.B.S. "forged" letter regarding Bush's National Guard service; By such Liars as Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity.... These flagrant liars have NO facts, and NO conscience when it comes to protecting the Neo-Con agendas. The quote by Nazi- Germany's Goebbels seems to resonate: "If you tell people something long-enough, and loud enough; they will believe ANYTHING!! Since when does a Texas-Governor's execution of 152 people, Reflect the concepts of "Family Values", or "a culture of Life"???? I have NEVER seen such LIES eminate from the mouths of our "so-called elected officials"!!!! Americans who value our democracy MUST use these "Value -based" Lies to bring light to the corruption and greed of these corporate-puppets. We MUST use their lies about such "Value" issues to "send-them-packing"!! They are now seeking to leverage control of our judicial-system; after manipulating absolute-control of the Congress and the White House. It would seem that the Constitutional- concept of "Balance-of-Power" has MEANS NOTHING TO THESE GREEDY, WAR-PROFITEERS!! Please "pass-this-on"......... Dave

Recently got an interesting quote regarding war, and patriotism:.............................. "Nautrally, the common people don't want war... voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country.".... Hermann Goering.............................. Sound familiar????.... Just HOW incompetant does a "leader" have to be, before we remove them from office?? An athlete, who "drops-the-ball", is quickly "benched". An employee, who cannot do his job, is quickly fired. Yet Bush continues to exhibit MASSIVE policy-failures... His economic policies are disasterous, his foreign-policy is a "joke", his environmental-policy is based on corporate-greed. He exhibits marginal command of the English-Language. He shows un-precedented contempt for the basics of the American Constitution, and "Balance-of-Powers". His philosophy seems that of " the end-justifies-the -means", the "Law" be damned; in ANY situation! When questioned about the executions of 152 "Death-Row" inmates in Texas; Bush declared that he "believed in the judicial-process"..... How different from his medling in the Terry Schiavo matter. (incidentaly, it is "statistically-probable" that several of those executed by Governor Bush, were ACTUALLY INNOCENT!!!) So much for his "Culture-of-Life"!!!!!!
